Your Buoy CHAMP plan includes Harbor Shield. It provides IRS audit defense support tied to your Section 125 benefit structure for the plan year, including applicable pre-tax benefits within that structure. There is no added cost to the employer; it is funded through the plan.
Plan protections exist inside the plan; employer Section 125 exposure is separate. That is the gap Harbor Shield closes. If the IRS raises a question, you are matched with vetted tax attorneys and defense services and covered legal costs apply up to stated limits.
Attorneys are independent; you retain them directly, preserving attorney-client privilege. Harbor Shield is not a law firm.
